Mark DeBolt has been involved in Marion County real estate and land development for 15 years. Born in Ocala and raised in Gainesville, Mark graduated from the University of Florida in 1980 and joined Barnett Bank as a credit analyst. Mark was in the banking business for fifteen years prior to beginning his real estate career with Drake Properties in 1994. At Drake Properties, Mark worked with several prominent Marion County developers until opening his own firm in 2002. Mark continues to be involved with the development of acreage tracts around the county but with a strong interest in the preservation of environmentally sensitive lands that will ensure the continued natural beauty of Marion County.
The development of Ocala’s Historic Downtown is an area in which Mark remains focused. As the founding President of the Downtown Business Alliance and a member of the Downtown Development Commission since 2000, Mark has spent much of his civic energy promoting and enhancing Ocala’s downtown community. His vision is to preserve the Historic quaintness of the area, while encouraging Ocala’s downtown to become a residential, pedestrian-friendly urban center.
